Happy Birthday Brenna

I can't believe my little girl is three now. Where did my baby go? We had a wonderful day today. It was so fun to celebrate with a child that really understood what her birthday was all about. We started the day when I went inside to get her up. I asked her what today was, and she smiled saying, "It's my birthday!" I decided to get donuts for everyone this morning. She got a chocolate cake donut with sprinkles. In her typical crazy eating style, she ate all the chocolate and sprinkle first then part of the cake part.

Brenna and I spent the day in SA. I had a doctor's appointment and I know she would enjoy a special day today. We went to "Build-a-Bear" for the first time today. She loved picking out an animal and then watching it being stuffed.

The employees there do a great job getting the kids to interact. They help stuff the bear and then they put a little heart into the bear before sewing it up. How sweet is Brenna making a wish and kissing the heart for her bunny?

Then she took her bunny to be washed and brushed.

Later we picked out clothes and left with a birth certificate stating the "Trina" has the same birthday as Brenna. So sweet.

We ate lunch with Avery and Poppi then picked up Tanner from school. Dad and I had the joy of watching 3 kids run all over the park. They were very cute playing together and having so much fun.

When we came home we ate a dinner of pizza. Brenna got to pick and that is what she wanted. She does love her pizza. Then after dinner, we opened gifts and cards. She did love her special day. It was fun to sit around and just spend time together.

Thanks for all the cards. She loved opening all them and looking at the pictures.

Thanks for the clothes Oma and Pepere, and Aunt Cyndi and Uncle Carlos. She loved all her new clothes. This was the first time she has really loved taking them all out and looking at each piece of clothing. We talked about the colors and what was on each outfit. Wish you could have been here with us.

I loved watching Brenna and Nathan play together. She loves her Daddy so much. From the words that belong to Mom, "It makes my heart go pitter pat."

We had a great day. Happy Birthday my little girl. You are truly a blessing. I am more aware of how special you are with each passing day. You are my little miracle baby. I love watching you grow and learn. I look forward to seeing what 3 brings us.

Next up is the birthday party. I'm sure there will be all sorts of pictures of that too. Look for a coming post.

Beware! There are a lot of Pictures. Enter at own Risk!

There are so many pictures here, I hope that I can even organize them for you. First let me say that my surgery went well. Thanks for any prayers. I am doing better now. I still have a little discomfort and I am tired, but I was able to take care of Brenna all day alone. Yea me!

I haven't really been able to get much done this week. I guess that is what happens when your body has to heal. I have been working on Brenna's birthday invitations. I was thinking they were quite cute and then got a little worried that they didn't look like barns, but rather like churches. I brought one out for Brenna to see and asked what it was. She smiled big and said, "It's a barn, Mommy." I guess I am safe. They will be sent out shortly. I seem to be running a little late this year.

So, let me start with the pictures. They are all from Easter weekend. I'll try to document for everyone.

Mom had bought many toys for all the kids to play with outside. Of course they all wanted what another child had. Avery loved playing with the big kids even if her feet won't reach the peddles yet.

There were several arguments over the piano, but they were peaceful here. Someone should tell them they don't have to play naked. I see a picture in a future wedding rehearsal.

I guess you could say we had a day of nudity.

Well, at least for the kids. You can see that Liz is fully clothed. The rest of the adults were too.

Although, apparently Mom should have thought about her choice. Now you see why the kids had no clothes. Please excuse the blurry picture. There was a lot of movement.

The Houston Easter bunny came on Saturday due to the predicted rain on Sunday. I wanted cute pictures so we dressed the kids in their easter clothes and went out.

This being Avery's first time to hunt eggs, Tanner had to help a little.

She got the hang of it.

Brenna and Tanner knew what they were doing.

Everyone had to show Poppi what they found.

Then back for a few more pictures of all the kids together.

I love their facial expressions. Each with their own personality.

Sunday after church we took a few family pictures.

Not sure what Poppi said that was so funny.

Someone should tell my child that she is sitting in a very unladylike position.

At this point all of the kids were done with pictures. Avery was the most vocal but look at the other two kids faces. Again the expressions crack me up.

Long time, no words

Wow, it has been awhile. I think I have been waiting for God to miraculously add some more hours to my day. I keep putting off writing because I want to post some pictures, but I haven't had time to download my pictures or edit them. You see my need for a few more hours. Today I have given up and decided to write without pictures. Hopefully they will come soon.

Life with the Jones is going okay. We had a nice Easter in Houston and came back late on Monday due to a killer migraine. This week has been rolling by ever since. Tomorrow I work and then Friday, I am having a minor outpatient surgery that will hopefully improve our chances of getting pregnant. Maybe then I will have the time to write a little more and post some pictures. I am supposed to be resting then. Posting pictures is resting, right?

Anyways, I hope everyone had a nice Easter. Those are some of the pictures I want to post. Hopefully you will get to the see them before next year.
